About this dish
Chimichurri is a sauce of Argentine origin, often paired with grilled meats. Made from fresh herbs, mainly parsley and oregano, chimichurri also contains garlic, red chili pepper, vinegar, olive oil, and salt. Its texture can range from liquid to pasty depending on preference. The sauce is at once spicy, tangy, and herbaceous, offering a refreshing contrast to grilled meats. Traditionally, it accompanies the famous Argentine asado, but it can also be used as a marinade or a side sauce for various dishes. Besides Argentina, chimichurri is also popular in other South American countries, although the recipe may vary slightly from one region to another. This green sauce is not only delicious but also simple to prepare, making it a must for grill lovers around the world.
