Ingredients
- 800 g beef
- 25 g brown sugar
- 1 pinch(es) white pepper
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp honey
- 0.5 Asian pear(s)
- 60 ml soy sauce
- 3 clove(s) garlic
- 3 stalk(s) spring onion
Instructions
Preparing the ingredients:
- 1Peel and blend the Asian pear until puréed.
- 2Finely chop the garlic cloves and the spring onion stalks.
- 3Slice the beef into thin slices.
Preparing the marinated meat:
- 4In a large bowl, mix the brown sugar, white pepper, sesame oil, mirin, and honey.
- 5Add the pear purée, soy sauce, garlic, and spring onion stalks.
- 6Mix all the ingredients well.
- 7Add the beef slices.
- 8Mix well to coat the meat with the marinade.
- 9Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally 1 to 2 hours.
Cooking the bulgogi:
- 10Heat a large pan or wok over high heat.
- 11Add the meat and stir-fry, stirring regularly, until nicely browned and fully cooked, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- 12Serve the beef bulgogi hot, with rice and sautéed vegetables.
