- 2 slice(s) of ham
- 100 g cheese
- 100 g wheat flour
- 2 egg(s)
- 120 g breadcrumbs
- 40 g unsalted butter
- salt
- pepper
- vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Preparing the ingredients:
- 2Lay the chicken cutlets on a cutting board and flatten with a rolling pin to make them thinner.
- 3Season the cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 4Cut the ham slices in half.
- 5Cut the cheese into thin slices.
Preparing the cordons bleus:
- 6On half of each cutlet, place a slice of ham and cheese.
- 7Fold the other half of the cutlet over the filling to close it.
- 8In a shallow dish, beat the eggs.
- 9In another shallow dish, put the flour.
- 10In a third shallow dish, put the breadcrumbs.
- 11Dip each cordon bleu first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs, making sure it is well coated at each step.
Cooking the cordons bleus:
- 12In a pan, heat the oil and butter over medium heat.
- 13Pan-fry the cordons bleus on each side until golden (about 2 minutes per side).
- 14Transfer the cordons bleus to a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
