About this dish
Berenjenas con miel are a traditional Andalusian dish from Spain, known for its unique combination of sweet and savory flavors. They are fried eggplant slices, crispy outside and tender inside, served with a generous drizzle of honey. Originating from the Andalusia region, these eggplants are often prepared with a light batter made of flour and water, then fried to a golden texture. The honey, usually of local origin, adds a sweet touch that pleasantly contrasts with the slightly bitter taste of the eggplant. This dish is often enjoyed as tapas or a starter, and is appreciated for its simplicity and comforting taste. Berenjenas con miel embody the Andalusian culinary tradition, combining local ingredients with artisanal preparation.
