- 500 g beef
- 1 onion(s)
- 4 spring onion(s)
- 4 clove(s) garlic
- 1 red chili pepper(s)
- 10 g fresh ginger
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 100 g cornstarch
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- frying oil
For the sauce:
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing cooking wine
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
Preparing the ingredients:
- 1Thinly slice the beef.
- 2Finely chop the garlic and ginger.
- 3Slice the onion and the chili.
- 4Peel and grate the ginger.
- 5Cut the spring onions into rounds.
Preparing the beef:
- 6In a bowl, mix the beef slices with the soy sauce, cornstarch, and peanut oil.
- 7Let the beef marinate for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Preparing the sauce:
- 8In a bowl, mix the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and Shaoxing wine.
Cooking:
- 9Heat oil in a wok or pan over medium-high heat.
- 10Fry the beef slices until cooked.
- 11Remove the beef slices and set them aside.
- 12In the same pan, add the onion, spring onions, garlic, red chili, and grated ginger.
- 13Sauté for about 2 minutes.
- 14Put the cooked beef slices back in the pan.
- 15Add the sauce and mix well to coat all the ingredients.
- 16Add the sesame oil.
- 17Serve immediately with white rice.
