About this dish
Martabak Telur is a delicious, popular street food specialty in Indonesia and Malaysia. It is a kind of thick pancake or omelet, filled with various flavorful ingredients. The base of the filling is usually made of beaten eggs, mixed with ground meat, often beef or lamb. Onions, green onions, and sometimes garlic are added for flavor, along with spices like curry and pepper, and seasonings such as salt and sugar. The filling is then wrapped in a thin dough, similar to that used for samosas or spring rolls, and fried until crispy and golden. The result is a hot snack, crispy outside, soft and rich in flavor inside. Martabak Telur is often served cut into pieces, ideal for sharing or enjoying as a quick, satisfying meal.
